Picture seeing the United States through the youthful eyes of an inquisitive teen, and rediscovering the simple things that we often take for granted…a baseball or football game, a community picnic, even window-shopping at the mall!
Who can host?

Host families come in all shapes and sizes and represent the diversity of American culture. Our families are of varied economic, religious and racial backgrounds and include working parents, couples without children, singles, single parents, and empty-nesters.

What is expected from the volunteer host family?

In addition to treating the student like a member of the family, a host family provides a student with a separate bed and a quiet place to study, daily meals with the family, some local transportation, open communication, encouragement and sound advice.

What is expected of students?

Exchange students are responsible and caring members of the family who attend school daily and show consistent effort, sharing his/her culture and customs with hosts and community; participating fully in family and school life; and showing open communication and commitment to the program. Students arrive with their own spending money and have medical and accident insurance.

What should you expect from CCI?

CCI has a strong and dedicated staff, network of Local Coordinators and Regional Directors working with families, students and schools across the United States. Our dedicated team will match your family with a student based on similar interests, provide orientation and counseling to your family and student throughout the program, and provide you with 24 hour support and advice.
